About Charlene P Pringle

Charlene (Leonard) Pringle, APRN is a Pediatric Critical Care Nurse Practitioner in the Division of Pediatric Critical Care. After obtaining her Bachelors in Nursing from the University of Florida in 1996, she continued her education and obtained her Masters for Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from Duke University in 2001. She received her post-masters certificate for Pediatric Critical Care Nurse Practitioner from Duke University in 2002. She is an active member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine, serving on the Pediatric Section steering committee and is the past Chair of the section for pediatric APPs. She was inducted as a fellow into the American College of Critical Care Medicine in 2021. She is an experienced clinical researcher specializing in the area of nutrition for critically ill children and neurocritical care, with multiple investigator-initiated studies as well as serving as site PI of multiple multi-centric projects through the PALISI network. Charlene is the creator and editor of the UF Pediatrics “PICU Essentials” smartphone app, which is available for download on our division website as well as in any app store.
